Yael Stein Yael Stein, who is Australian and lives in New York City since 2013 She played Lorna Morrello in Orange Is the New Black. Yael received her NIDA diploma. Since her early years, Yael has been lucky to have worked with some of some of Australia's top storytellers, stars of theatre and visionaries who work behind the scenes in films, television and theatre. Yael is a hugely professional career that has been a success in Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael found her new place of residence within New York City when the production was acclaimed in The Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM). Yael co-founded The Cannery. The Cannery is a studio located at Bushwick, Brooklyn, the The Cannery promotes new writing and inventive, innovative ventures.
